HEON is happy to present our summer school for students in Year 11 - offering you the chance to experience university life and explore the variety of options available at 16 and 18. This event is ideal for anyone considering Higher Education (such as university or an apprenticeship) or who is unsure about their future.
About our residential
Exciting subject tasters - You'll be able to experience a range of practical sessions designed to expose you to interesting areas that you could study
Fun social evening activities - During the evenings you'll go bowling, play games, and eat at the local restaurants to have fun and experience a different side of university lfie
Impartial information, advice and guidance - You'll also be able to get impartial information about the range of options available to you including apprenticeships, university, and alternatives to Higher Education to gain practical and useful knowledge during your stay
What do you need to know?
Date: 26th June – 28th June 2017
Location: The University of Surrey
Details: A summer school exploring university life and techniques for post-16 study and future options including lectures, seminars, practical activities and a variety of social events. All accommodation and meals during the summer school will be provided.
Who is eligible?
The Higher Education Outreach Network is funded to work with students who reside in areas that have a lower rate of progression to Higher Education than is expected. Eligibility will be determined by the student's postcode.
