CHARACTERS: Mum/Josie

CHARACTER CONTEXT We are introduced to Mum on Page 25 as Elliot finds her in a field by a vegetable patch. We learn that mum is unwell and needs extra care from Elliot. Mum is a kind and caring person and it is obvious throughout the book how much she loves and cares about Elliot. Elliot describes his mum as forgetful and has noticed that she is getting more forgetful. When Mum meets other people she introduces herself as Josie as that is her first name.
